Decorative Elements

I decided that I should incorporate decorative elements into my lineups to reflect the diva characteristic of glamour.

On YouTube, I came across a video where a YouTuber aimed to recreate James Charles 2019 Met Gala outfit. This was made from safety pins as shown on the board above. The board above shows James Charles outfit on the left and the rest of the images showcase the recreated outfit.
This inspired me to create an element out of safety pins that could be added to my final design outfit. I decided to make a very small sample of attached paper clips in a diamond shape to reflect a mask Beyonce wore which is shown further down this post.

I superglued different sizes of safety pins together to reflect some variation, the sample overall did provide me with the diamond shape I wanted however, the sample was not flat which made it look slightly unprofessional and lacks a glamourous finish. I have concerns on whether the outfit would lack the luxury, glamours characteristic based on the materials this decorative element is made up of
I then decided that I could use beads and invisible thread instead of safety pins as an additional element that would go over the bodysuit resembling the diamond-shaped outline as in the images below. This shape will further push the luxury element of the design, especially if this technique will be used through the chiffon gloves and as an element over the model's head.

Before creating the additional element for my final design (which is shown on my 'Toile Fit' blog page), I decided to sketch some designs of how I would want the beads to be placed which is shown below.
