The designers mentioned in the boards below have created pieces where certain elements of them inspire me to use certain techniques.

I admire how Area's Spring 2021 collection highlights the beauty of different body types with their use of models shown above. In their collection, they also incorporated elements of glamour through decorative techniques which inspires me to use similar elements within my own work.
AZ Factory's Spring 2021 collection includes many simple garments styled with heavy jewellery which links to the glamourous side of the diva alter ego in my concept. This collection also includes uniquely constructed garments paired with something simple. This shows me that I do not need to create difficult silhouettes in my designs to push my narrative. This collection has also shown me that I can stack jewellery to further reflect my concept in the styling outcome because it would work very well.

Some pieces in Alaïa's collection shown above reminded me of some of the designs I have created for this project when reacting to my stand work. The layered elements, cut out details and high collared garments inspired me to look into this collection even further to analyse more details I can incorporate in my designs. Whilst doing some further research I found that this designer is known for their glamorous silhouettes which I admire as I intend to showcase glamour within my garments also.
Another designer I researched was Jonathan Simkhai whose elements in their most recent collection also were similar to the designs I have created. The carefully cut out shapes to show skin are details I would love to include in my final lineup. The designer's 2021 Fall collection also reflects hand workmanship to create lace, fringing and tassels. These details have inspired me to sample intricate elements that link to my concept to judge whether I would later use the samples within my lineup.

The collection shown above has inspired me to design garments that incorporate modern silhouettes as well as captivating shapes obtained from my concepts. This collection also successfully portrays the concept which links to Italian art and craftsmanship. The designer states that this collection is aimed to portray a message of "strength and unity: a positive re-start which we and the Made In Italy system need now more than ever". It is evident that their audience is classy elegant women which is also an aspect I want my designs to have.

The board above reflects a lot of glamour in the collection which captivated me. The placement of jewels around the necklines, hems as well as it is used to create garments works very well with the collection. This inspired me to play with the placement of jewels and other ornaments that link with my concept so that I can further push my narrative through my clothing pieces. Another element I admired within this collection is the use of fabric trimmings around the neckline and hem which gives a Victorian aesthetic (shown in the second and fifth image above). This has also inspired me to experiment with the placement of fabric trimmings.

I decided to look into Miu Miu's collection as I wanted inspiration for when I was to start designing jackets, I noticed that this collection used elements that I could use within my designs. This collection has experimented with wadding within different garment apart from sole jackets. Also, the stitch lines over the wadding were not typical lines going across the garments but curved as well as shaped lines. This has influenced me to incorporate twists into certain elements to link to my concept.
